2026-04-19 Protect Children – Citywide "Dance" and "Martial Arts" to Create a Rainbow
"Protect Children: Citywide 'Dance' & 'Martial Arts' Create a Rainbow" 🌈
Last Sunday, teachers, students and parents of our school went to Kai Tak Station Square to participate in the event co-organized by City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Scout Association Kowloon Region and Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children Chak Yan Centre School. This event was generously sponsored by Mr. Leung Siu-on, MH, former Chairman of our Tong, and his wife 🤝.
As a co-organizer of the event 🤝, The Lok Sin Tong Kowloon fully supported and participated in the event, including Mrs. Wan Man-wai, Chairman of our Tong, and her husband, Standing Directors, Chief Executive, more than 400 teachers and students from our affiliated primary, secondary and kindergarten schools 👩🏻🏫👨🏻🏫👧🏻👦🏻, ethnic minority members of our affiliated units, and residents of Kai Tak Simple Public Housing. It was a sunny day on the event day ☀️. Among all the activities, the one that impressed and moved the participants the most was the "SDG 1,000-Person World Record Attempt" 🏆. The atmosphere was warm and the scene was spectacular. Teachers and students of our school wore yellow clothes and formed a large rainbow formation together with other participants dressed in the seven colors of the rainbow 🌈. A thousand people danced synchronously, creating a joyful scene. This event successfully set a world record for "the largest number of participants in a cumulative martial arts-style dance performance", which is of great significance 🥳.
In addition, there were themed booths such as sports 🏃, education 📖 and art 🎨 on site, as well as performances including singing and dancing 💃, percussion 🥁 and disabled karate 🥋, showing a beautiful picture of people with different backgrounds showcasing their talents and integrating with each other.
Thank you to the organizing committees for providing this precious opportunity, allowing us to personally experience the active promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by all sectors of society. We also deeply felt the public's care and protection for children, and further understood the importance of working together to build a caring, inclusive and colorful community future! 🌍✨
